Neri Nencini, born near Florence in 1996, begins playing the violin at six years old with M° Beatrice Bianchi.
In 2010 he starts studying at Conservatorio Statale di Musica “Luigi Cherubini” in Florence with M° Miriam Sadun. In February 2016 he gets his Diploma with full marks and in December 2017 he completes his Masters Degree with Class Honours. During the course of his studies he also attends chamber music classes with M° Daniela de Santis and M° Alina Company.
He attends annual courses in violin performance with M° Dejan Bogdanovic in Chioggia and M° Stefano Pagliani (ex Prinicipal Violin at Teatro alla Scala di Milano and at Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino) at the Accademia Sherazade in Rome. He gets selected on audition to attend the annual course “Obiettivo Orchestra” at the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale di Saluzzo, where he studies with the principal violinists of Filarmonica del Teatro Regio di Torino, M° Sergej Galaktinov, M° Stefano Vagnarelli, M° Cecilia Bacci and M° Marco Polidori.
He takes part in various masterclasses in violin performance with internationally famous musicians such as M° Sergej Girshenko, M° Dejan Bogdanovic, M° Cristiano Rossi, M° Alessandro Moccia, M° Ladislau Horvath, and others in chamber music with M° Giovanni Gnocchi, M° Bruno Canino, M° Boris Bekhterev, M° Christophe Giovaninetti and M° Giampaolo Nuti.
Over the course of the years he performs in many chamber music formations, such as Duos, Trios, Quartets, Quintets and Sextetts. He performs in many venues such as Villa Bardini, Gabinetto Letterario G. P. Vieusseux, Biblioteca Marucelliana, Società Dantesca Italiana and Chiesa di Santo Stefano al Ponte in Florence, Oratorio del Gonfalone in Rome, Pinacoteca Nazionale in Siena, and for important musical events, such as Festival Carniarmonie in Udine, Festival Terre di Maremma and Recondite Armonie in Grosseto, “Musica da Casa Menotti” in Spoleto, “Stagione Concertistica di Toscana Classica” in Florence.
He is a stable member of the Domino Quartet as Second Violin, with which he has occasion to play in important events, such as “Concerti dei Musei” of Opera di Firenze at the Stibbert Museum, the concert series at the Oratorio del Gonfalone in Rome, the “Ciclo Shostakovich” of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
He often collaborates with the Orchestra Toscana Classica and the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina.
In 2016 he also collaborates with the Orchestra della Toscana on two occasions respectively conducted by M° Robert Trevino and M° Daniele Rustioni.
He plays as a soloist with the orchestra on several occasions: in March 2017 he plays Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto op. 35 in D major with the Orchestra Sinfonica Florentia in the Ognissanti church in Florence; in May 2018 he plays Brahms Double Concerto op. 102 in A minor with english cellist Georgia Morse and the Orchestra Sinfonica del Conservatorio L. Cherubini di Firenze conducted by M° Paolo Ponziano Ciardi in the Teatro della Pergola in Florence and the Auditorium del Centro Rogers in Scandicci (Florence).
Since May 2017 he is a member of the Erasmus Orchestra, with which he plays in important occasions for the Europe Festival in Florence.
He plays a 1767 Aegidius Klotz violin and a 2000 Hiroshi Kugo violin.
